Honolulu Shopping

Internationally-renowned style and colorful native taste meet...

When it comes to shopping, Honolulu is without a doubt where East meets West. Though well known for its Asian and Pacific antiques, Honolulu shoppers can also find the most up-to-date in American and European fashions and home accessories. In addition, Hawaii's own designers now offer an ever-increasing array of clothing, accessories and island treasures. Guests at Halekulani are perfectly situated to take advantage of it all. Here's just a sampling:

Shops at Halekulani

The best place to start is right here at the hotel, where you'll find an exciting collection of six boutiques and shops offering fine porcelain and silver - including Japanese Imari antiques, custom-designed gold jewelry, designer handbags and watches, and exclusive spa products and gifts.

Ala Moana Shopping Center

An international center of more than 200 stores and restaurants, Ala Moana is renowned as one of the largest open-air shopping centers in the world. It is a veritable shopper's paradise, with national and international stores from Banana Republic, Tiffany, and Neiman Marcus to Cartier, YSL, Louis Vuitton, and Burberry - side-by-side with unique surf apparel and gift shops that make "Hawaiian style" an experience like no other. It's no wonder more than two million people visit Ala Moana Center each month.

Chinatown Shops

Honolulu's 200-year old Chinatown is a wonderland of shops that feature herbs, fresh produce, fish markets, restaurants and a rainbow of fresh flower leis. Here a mix of Asian cultures is concentrated in an area where exotic spices infuse the air and the way to good health is through acupuncture and herbalists.

Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center

Located in the heart of Waikiki, the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center features more than 150 shops, services, and internationally-acclaimed boutiques. Enjoy great shopping, dining, and entertainment as well as free hula lessons, classes in lei making and other Hawaiian crafts. Shops include Cartier, Fendi, Suntory Restaurant, Cheesecake Factory and more.

2100 Kalakaua Avenue

This unique section of a renowned Waikiki thoroughfare features six of the world's finest luxury retailers (Tiffany & Co., Coach, Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Gucci, and Tod's). These flagship stores are some of the largest in the world for these brands, and each retailer has a unique storefront that carefully merges individual brand identities with the Hawaiian sense of style. On the 2100 block of Kalakaua Avenue, you can also find the seven-foot bronze sculpture of a Hawaiian storyteller - a stunning symbol of cultural preservation and the area's commitment to the land and it's heritage.

Victoria Ward Center

Hawaii's most unique shopping and dining destination. More than 120 specialty shops include one-of-a-kind boutiques selling everything from designer maternity wear to bath fixtures and gourmet items. A collection of 19 taste-temping restaurants, multi-plex theatres and a small farmers market featuring a variety of local produce make this one of the area's busiest places, especially on weekends.
