Sharon Sussman
Halekulani is pleased to present a curated limited collection by acclaimed multi-media artist Sharon Sussman.
After earning her Fine Arts degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a degree in digital art and animation from San Jose State University, Sussman worked with prestigious firms such as Apple, Hewlett-Packard, and DreamWorks before moving to Hawaii to become a professor at Kapiolani Community College.
During a sabbatical in Mexico, she learned the Byzantine glass style of mosaics, translating her paintings into a 3-dimensional mosaic style. Her creative vision draws from multiple media mastered throughout her career, influenced by the landscapes of California and Hawaii, and her inner inspiration.
