Halekulani remains committed to creating a safe environment that provides our guests with the peace of mind needed to enjoy a relaxing visit.  Our renewal project to preserve and uphold the integrity of the hotel is nearly complete, with thorough improvements taking place across the property. We are also using this time to develop and implement the new Halekulani Health program, which will ensure a safe and enhanced guest experience upon our reopening. In order to best prepare you for your upcoming visit to Oahu we would like to share some updates on the current situation here.  Effective September 13, 2021, the “Safe Access O‘ahu” program will require all customers to show proof of either full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result taken within the previous forty-eight (48) hours AND matching valid legal identification with the same information as the proof of vaccination in order to enter the establishment. Children under 12 years old are exempt.

Full Vaccination means two weeks have passed after a single dose vaccination or the second dose in a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination series which has been authorized for emergency use or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Proof of full vaccination includes:

  1. a hard copy of a state-approved vaccination card;
  2. a photograph/digital copy of a state-approved vaccination card; or
  3. a Hawai‘i state-approved digital/smart device application confirming full vaccination status (including via the Safe Travels program/application or Hawai‘i SMART Health Card).
