Join us for a unique pairing beverages with our signature baked breads. A notable industry expert (from sommeliers, master brewers, and distillers) will be on hand to provide insight. HKBR Iced Coffees

Introducing two new iced coffees at Halekulani Bakery:  HKBR Cold Brew – our take on the newest trend in coffee brewing, allowing our refreshing iced coffee to be smoother, never bitter. In addition, the Salted Caramel Latte – the perfect blend of sweet with a touch of saltiness, combining our house made caramel milk and syrup with two shots of espresso over ice.

Creating edible artistry

Halekulani’s Executive Pastry Chef, Mark Freischmidt, leads the bakery operation, working with Head Baker, Tatsuhiro Kaneshiro, from the acclaimed Imperial Hotel Tokyo, who brings the classic art of bread making with him.

Since 2010, Freischmidt has overseen Halekulani’s pastry team and carved a niche within Hawai‘i’s confectionery landscape. In addition to La Mer, Freischmidt supplies desserts to Halekulani’s other restaurants, including Orchids, House Without A Key, Veranda (Afternoon Tea), and Lewers Lounge.
