The Art of Surfing
As Halekulani continues to celebrate its indigenous surroundings and culture, we are pleased to introduce our newest experience, the Art of Surfing. Whether you are a novice to the sport or an ocean sport enthusiast, let our expert team provide you with an authentic adventure and taking your surf or stand-up paddle skills to a new level.
Our team of true watermen, have surfed the world with a combined total of over 65 years of water sport experience. They will provide you with an understanding and appreciation of the Hawaiian waters (the birthplace of surf), inform you of the different moon phases which change daily and affect the waves, and provide you with the perfect board – curated and hand shaped, exclusively for Waikiki. More than just “catching a wave,” enjoy this true experience that only Halekulani can provide.
*Complimentary daily surf demonstrations – Learn basic surf stances before getting in the water. 9:30 am on the beach fronting Halekulani.
