Orchids is Halekulani’s casually elegant, oceanfront restaurant, and one of the top restaurants on Oahu serving breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as the best Sunday Brunch Honolulu offers.

The cuisine at Orchids celebrates the sophisticated flavors of the coastal Italian regions.  Executive Chef, Christian Testa, infused his own distinctive flair to create signature dishes including a Harris Ranch Prime Beef Filet appetizer, served with thinly sliced prime filet, arugula salad, parmesan, mushroom and truffle aioli; Homemade Lasagnette featuring freshly chef-made pasta, local Kahuku prawns, scallops and avocado; as well as several other uniquely tantalizing creations.

Reimagining Mediterranean-inspired cuisine

Christian Testa, Executive Chef, brings regional cuisine to a new level at award-winning Orchids restaurant.

Born and raised in Genova, Italy, Testa has always been around the freshest ingredients – exquisite seafood, fresh produce, and an abundance of herbs. His training at internationally acclaimed hotel kitchens such as the Splendido Hotel in Portofino and La Coquille in Bermuda has allowed him to harvest techniques to create elegantly simple and flavorful dishes using the finest locally-sourced ingredients.

Testa’s vision for his Mediterranean inspired dishes for dinner comes from cooking with his grandmother – creating clean, healthy dishes with something special infused in every dish. His pastas are handmade from scratch daily using high end ingredients such as lobster and truffles to create decadent dishes.

His diversity of creativity stretches beyond Italian cuisine as overseeing the various meals at Orchids, he is able to oversee the diverse international dishes for breakfast and lunch as well as Sunday Brunch.
