We are delighted to share that a new exhibit will open tomorrow in the Halekulani Gallery:  “Across Time and Tradition: The Evolving Vision of Shangri La.”

Curated exclusively for Halekulani in partnership with the Doris Duke Foundation, this exhibit showcases a stunning selection of ceramics, textiles, metalwork, and digital installations from the Shangri La Museum of Islamic Art, Culture & Design. It reflects Doris Duke’s lifelong engagement with Islamic art and her deep connection to Hawai‘i, exploring the dynamic interplay between tradition and innovation across cultures and generations.

Located just beyond Lē‘ahi (Diamond Head), Shangri La serves as a vibrant center for learning and cultural exchange. This special presentation celebrates our longstanding partnership with the Doris Duke Foundation and features both historic and contemporary works from their renowned collection.

The gallery is open from 9:00 am – 7:00 pm daily
