The Hawaii Food & Wine Festival is thrilled to welcome both Rafaella Bologna and Norbert Reinisch of Braida to the Main Ballroom at the Halekulani, for what will be an extraordinary and exhilarating tasting of some of the greatest wines of Italy, if not the world!

Braida is the story of Barbera—from the lightest and most carefree expressions, to the deepest and most thought provoking, age-worthy and sensual wines that one will ever encounter. While the Barbera grape can sometimes take a back seat to the Nebbiolo grapes of Barolo and Barbaresco, you will quickly see that these wines can tell a story of their own. They are at once unique, first and foremost, and they “belong” as some of the finest wines of the world.

Two of these Barbera bottlings stand out above all others, and this is where you will be treated to a once-in-a-lifetime, vertical tasting of both expressions. The first is Bricco dell’Uccellone and the second, Ai Suma. The vintages to be savored? For Bricco dell’Uccellone, you will enjoy wines from 2005, 2006, 2009, 2016 and 2019, and for Ai Suma, 2004, 2009 and 2019.
