Kau Makaliʻi

House Without A Key presents Kau Makaliʻi, a Sunday evening dining experience inspired by the traditions, flavors, and spirit of gathering that have shaped Hawaiʻi.

Named for the season traditionally marked by the rising of Makaliʻi, the Pleiades star cluster, Kau Makaliʻi reflects themes of abundance, renewal, peace, and community. Guests are invited to gather beneath the Waikīkī sky for an abundant island-inspired buffet celebrating the diverse culinary influences of Hawaiʻi.

The evening features fresh poke, seafood and sushi selections; seasonal salads and accompaniments; hot entrées and house-made breads; carving stations with whole-roasted lechon and slow-roasted prime rib; and seasonal desserts prepared by Chef Michelle and the Halekulani pastry team.

Live Hawaiian music, hula, gracious hospitality, and the storytelling long associated with House Without A Key complete the experience, connecting guests to the culture and traditions of Hawaiʻi in one of Waikīkī’s most iconic oceanfront settings.
