Visiting Master Workshop: Unlocking the Power of the Human Evolutionary Design
- | Hau Terrace
Led by martial arts master and artist Ray Carbullido, this workshop explores fundamental human movement through one of our most essential evolutionary actions: walking. Through guided practice, Ray examines the relationship between the feet and the arms, the body and the mind, and how unnecessary mental interference disrupts natural movement. The work centers on unification and flow, revealing how the body and being can move as one, and what hinders this natural capacity.
Rather than training the mind, this workshop provides a gateway for the mind to understand its role and place, learning when to engage, when to trust the body, and when to allow other parts of one’s being to lead. Participants experience firsthand the deep relationship between the tangible and intangible aspects of movement, gaining insight into key alignments and their relationship to clarity and focus. The skills cultivated in this workshop form an essential foundation for martial arts, healing, vitality, and everyday movement.
