TROPICAL DRINKS, SMALL BITES, AND STUNNING SUNSET VIEWS

House Without A Key

One of the most iconic restaurants in Waikiki, House Without A Key is Halekulani’s popular indoor/outdoor gathering spot for sunset cocktails, appetizers, and Hawaiian entertainment.  Drink in memorable sunsets under our 130+ year old Kiawe Tree with views of the Pacific Ocean and Diamond Head.  This setting is the perfect backdrop to preserve the honored tradition of cocktails and Hawaiian music under the stars and by the sea.

Immortalized in a 1925 Charlie Chan novel, House Without A Key is known for its signature mai tai, a classic to be enjoyed any time of the day. We invite you to try this Halekulani classic at home.

Our iconic poolside restaurant, known for its sunset cocktails and live Hawaiian music, will now be open a little later.  Dinner service will now start at 5:00 pm with the last seating at 9:00 pm.

House Without A Key Chef Jarrin Otake has created various choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner using different grilling techniques, brick oven flat breads, as well as local favorites such as fresh catch of the day, steaks, and burgers.  We suggest one of our select wines by the glass carefully curated for the restaurant to enhance your dining experience.

Entertainment

With entertainment starting at 5:00 pm, you don’t have to rush to catch the sunset…or the green flash.  Our lovely hula dance continues to make her appearances from 6 – 8 pm. A solo artist performs from 8:15 pm to closing for those who want to linger and enjoy one more cocktail.  Cheers!

Sunset Cocktails in the lawn area at House Without A Key is on a first come, first served basis.  Reservations are not accepted for our daily Hula show and Sunset Cocktails.

In addition, for those Ernest Hemingway fans. Be sure to reserve Table 97 – a specific table near the ocean, showcasing views of Diamond Head that the legendary author would frequent during his stay at Halekulani in the 1940s.

LauLau Chicken at House Without A Key

“We came from Maui for a 3-day getaway. As world travelers we can honestly say that the Halekulani is one of the most wonderful hotels we have ever stayed in! The location is amazing and of course the food but most of all… it is the warmth and professionalism of the staff. House Without A Key is one of our favorite places… not just in Hawaii but in the world. It feels like you are stepping back into old Hawaii with the tropical breezes and gentle music. We can’t wait to come back!”
