Leading Luxury Hotel in Hawaii Sets Sights on the Meetings & Conventions Industry With Competitive Package that Infuses Local Culture
WAIKIKI, HAWAII (June 15, 2016) – Halekulani, one of the world’s finest and most acclaimed independent luxury hotels, rolls out new group programming with the launch of its first package aimed for groups who book and host meetings. Located within steps of Waikiki Beach offering unobstructed views of Diamond Head coupled with award-winning cuisine and attentive services, Halekulani is the perfect backdrop for any meeting, conference or exhibition.
Group Packages include three to five night stays with perks including Ocean View guestroom accommodations, two days of meeting room access with morning and afternoon “refreshing” breaks, continental breakfast, lunch and one, 90-minute team-building session with Halekulani’s resident Lifestyle Coach Kamala Skipper.
The longer the stay, package pricing options decrease for groups by up to nine percent for single occupancy and up to 14 percent for double occupancy. Based on availability, group packages are commissionable to meeting planners at 10 percent, with a minimum of 15 rooms booked.
Halekulani’s meeting spaces are convenient for any size group. Halekulani’ 364-sq. ft. Executive Conference Room seats up to 14 guests. The Kalia (621- q. ft) and Kiawe (515 sq. ft) rooms are located on the second floor of the historic main building, and are best suited for smaller corporate meetings for 20-40 guests. Both rooms may be combined to accommodate up to 70 guests. The Garden Terrace seats up to 80 guests at almost 1,300 sq. ft. The Garden Terrace offers an additional 6,400 sq. ft. of space offering outdoor cocktail receptions for up to 600 guests at the adjoining Garden Courtyard.
For larger groups, the 5,000-sq. ft. Hau Terrace and lanai offers unobstructed view of Diamond Head with windows on three sides from the second floor. Hau Terrace seats up to 120 guests for banquets and can accommodate up to 300 guests for cocktail receptions on the lanai. Finally, the Halekulani Ballroom seats up to 300 guests and can accommodate up to 50 guests for cocktail receptions. This 4,300 square foot ballroom can also be divided into two rooms, for added flexibility.
Bookings at Halekulani will also yield a “give back” contribution for the 501(c) charity of choice by the host company starting with a two-night donation for a three-night program and extending up to a three-night donation on a five night program.
All the meetings spaces at Halekulani are equipped with sophisticated technology, include wireless internet access, video conferencing, live stream video capabilities with simultaneous translation booth or headsets, along with an array of audio-visual components which can include screen projections, computer laptops and TV monitors ranging from 32’ to 60’ plasmas. Lighting and sound packages are also available for groups looking to elevate stage presentations.
