Summer Sips: Six Refreshing Halekulani Cocktail & Mocktail Recipes

Summer is finally here and it is the perfect time to cool down with the tropical taste of Halekulani’s famous cocktails and mocktails.

We invite you to Hawaii from home by making one of our refreshing beverages using the recipes below. We have rounded up a few of our favorites along with our iconic Mai Tai and hope you enjoy sipping on the flavors of Halekulani.

For those seeking the ultimate poolside sipper packed with fresh and fruity flavors, we suggest mixing up one of the following cocktails:

 

HALEKULANI SUNSET

  • 1 Wedge Pineapple
  • ½ oz. Grenadine
  • 3 oz Guava Concentrate
  • 1 oz Fresh Sweetened Lemon Juice
  • ½ oz Triple Sec
  • 1 oz Light Rum

Mix ingredients in a blender with crushed ice and pour in a “bucket” or a double old-fashioned glass. Garnish with a Vanda orchid, pineapple wedge with rind.

 

BLUE HAWAII

  • 2 oz Pineapple Juice
  • 1 wedge of Fresh Pineapple
  • 1 oz Blue Curacao
  • 1 ¼ oz Sweetened Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 ¼ oz Light Rum

Mix all ingredients in a blender with crushed ice and pour in a tall tropical glass. Garnish with a Vanda Orchid.

 

For those longing for the classic taste of Halekulani, our signature Mai Tai is your go-to:

 

MAI TAI

  • ⅓ oz Orgeat Syrup
  • ⅓ oz Orange Curacao
  • ⅓ oz Rock Candy Syrup
  • 1 ¼ oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • ¾ oz Bacardi Amber
  • ¾ oz Bacardi Select
  • ½ oz Lemon Hart 151

Pour ingredients into a double old-fashioned glass; Pack with crushed ice; Float Lemon Hart 151. Garnish with a Vanda orchid, mint leaves, sugar cane stick, and lime wheel.

 

For those interested in a refreshing mocktail to sip at home, we suggest the following beverages:

 

LE MINT

  • 2 ½ oz Lemon juice & simple syrup (equal parts)
  • 2 ½ oz Club Soda
  • Mint

Mix in a blender with ice and pour into a “bucket” (double old-fashioned glass). Garnish with mint and a lemon wedge.

 

JUNGLE MANIA

  • 1 Fresh Banana
  • 1 oz Passion Concentrate
  • 1 ¼ oz Fresh Sweetened Lemon Juice
  • 3 oz 7-up
  • Dash of Coco Lopez (¼ oz)

Mix in a blender with crushed ice and add to a Chimney Wine Glass. Garnish with Mint Leaves and a Vanda Orchid.

 

PUNAHELE PRINCESS

  • 1 Banana (about 6 inches)
  • 1 oz. guava concentrate
  • 1 ¼ oz sweet and sour
  • 3 oz 7Up
  • ¼ oz Coco Lopez

Mix all ingredients in blender and garnish with a Vanda Orchid.
