Dancing Water by JOHN KOGA (1964) is one of the four original oil paintings commissioned by Halekulani made especially to be displayed on the walls of our rooms and suites. What may seem as a simple dual toned painting, meets in a lively silhouette in the middle. As suggested by the title, the line that crosses through the middle of the canvas traces a euphoric outline of dancing water while simultaneously giving shape to a cloud above, suggesting the complexity of interconnection between clouds and water in a single line.
