Midday Glow by JOHN TANJI KOGA (1964) [Living Room] will be on view through the end of October 2021. The painting was graciously loaned by Servco Toyota for Halekulani’s grand reopening and is a symbolic gesture of the connection and meaning created through supporting the arts in Hawaiʻi. Although only on temporary display, Midday Glow seems almost site-specific as light shines through the skylights from above, reflecting golden shimmers of sunlight onto this wall on which it is hung, around the middle of the day.
